I would never do that, at one the child is pretty smart, it's just too old to be doing that business while the baby is in the room. They could even stand up and watch lol...Nah, no way.

It's fine. How do you think people cope in developing countries where often all the family live together in one room? Having sex in the same room as a sleeping baby will in no way negatively affect the child. They may even gain a little brother or sister which would have a positive effect!
Mind you, they may not feel the same way once their child can climb out of the cot!

I can't believe for one minute this would affect the baby in any way whatsoever - they are not aware for one tiny minute what is going on! Especially if they are asleep! It's quite possible to be discrete under the covers whilst baby is asleep and there's nothing wrong with that whatsoever. I can't imagine that even if my 4 year old walked in on us she would truly get what was going on - children are only affected by abuse and this is not it. Agree with us and the luxury of multi-bedroomed houses in the West and also I think we have an exaggerated sense of paranoia about peadophilia thanks to an over-zealous media.... It might not be for all and I didn't actually do it, but there's nothing *wrong* with it at all - personal preference only and we can't be judgemental.

FFS. There are races all over this planet that live in single room dwellings without the relative luxury of multiple bedroomed housing we have in the West!! Do you think for one minute they have the time to worry about the possibility of traumatising their babies should they wake up and hear some odd noises or see some discreet movements under the sheets? Sex is natural and can easily be done discreetly with kids around without them realising anything "strange" is happening at all. It never ceases to amaze me how hung up we are in this country.

I think it is wrong, but to answer the question of babies being aware, they are not. The earliest memories begin when a child is three, maybe two and a half years old. Before that, the brain lacks the pathways to form memories. So, at this age, the baby will not remember anything nor will this reflect on the child's personality.
Personally, even though the baby will not remember this, I still think it is a bit wrong. But, they are the parents, so they can do what they want.

No wonder society is so messed up if children grow up confused about their parents loving each other. It's not like you're doing anything really kinky in front of the baby, right? Nor are they doing anything to the child himself, right? So what's the problem?

Personally I wouldn't do it & I certainly wouldn't be making it public knowledge if I did. Little too much information...
But everyone is different & at the end of the day their one year old is going to be partly them so will have their traits, beliefs & ideals - so maybe they will be cool about it having happened if indeed they are aware & remember the incident.
One year old & still in their room is an interesting choice in itself .

I wouldn't personally, but as long as the babies asleep and they're not swinging from the chandeliers then i don't see a problem. Obviously it would be better if they didn't!!

agree with orla im afraid. whats wrong with that as long as baby was asleep? so what your tryin to say is that for as long as baby is in parents room they shouldnt have sex in bed! come on!
