Newb music mixing software?
I am attempting to locate a good user friendly program for music mixing. I would like the program to be able to have audio tracks put in as well as have some loops (drums, bass, lead guitar, etc...) available.
I am a complete newb at this and probably have no idea what I am getting into, but we all have to start somewhere! :-)

I agree with the first two answerers. Audacity (freeware) is the way to go. If you want more bells and whistles and can afford it, Adobe Audition or its previous incarnation, Cool Edit Pro. Run "audio freeware" through Yahoo and see what pops up.

Look into Audacity. It is a free application that you can download off of the web. It does a lot of neat things and is compared to the Adobe product of similar type.
