What is the worst season of American Idol in your opinion? What was the best?

My favorite season was Season 2, with Clay Aiken (the winner, in my eyes).

Season 5 had some really great talent as well (except for Taylor!).

Season 3 was the only season I didn't see, so I can't judge it, but other than that, I think this (Season 7) is actually one of the worst seasons.

I loved David A., but even he got kind of boring once in awhile and forgot his lines TWICE! The singers this year were ok, but no one was really "WOW!", like in previous seasons. I hope they have a better cast next year or American Idol won't be around much longer.

This is clearly the worst because it has been quite obvious from jump-street that the fix was in and that David A will be the eventual winner. Castro was a good looking guy but a crappy singer so he stuck around ,the same thing with Carly, Brooke and Amanda

By rights Syesha should have won this thing because she was clearly the best singer.

I agree the seaon with Taylor Hicks was the best because both he abd Daughtry were and are the real deal wheras David A is just a very limited and a very boring kid.

I agree this has been the worst. I loved Season 5 because of Daughtry, McPhee and Elliot Yamin. Season with Carrie Underwood was my fav too.

I agree with you that Season 5 was the best so far. Second favorite is Season 6 with Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks, Melinda Doolitle, and who could ever forget Sanjaya.

After that I'd have to go with Season 2 with Ruben and Clay and then Season 4 that had Carrie Underwood, Bo Bice, and Constantine.

Worst season ever? I'd have to go with Season 3. That whole "diva" thing just didn't do it for me.

this season has the worst cast ever. I totally agree. Last year, not only were the people a lot of fun but they also were grew very close to each other throughout this season. This season it seems everyone has been, "kick him while he is down" kind of group. I am definitely hoping that next season has a better group of people..

If David A wins tonight this season will be the worst!

I liked season 5 (the first season I watched).

I really hated season 3 when Fantasia won, I think the 4th was the best? the one with Carrie Underwood, She made it way bigger than anyone else ever has!

My worst was the season when Carrie Underwood won, I was so upset, and my best was when Jordin Sparks won, I was so happy and excited for her.

i think the worst talent wise was the first it just wasnt good.
