Anyone know of any cheap health insurance that is for an individual?

It's pretty easy to find a cheap individual health insurance plan if you are fairly healthy.

Just be sure that you don't fall victim to a rate that seems too good to be true from a company that you have never heard of or get suckered into a health discount card that is not true health insurance.

Stick with a large and well known company like United Healthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Humana, etc. and you will be fine.

Compare quotes from at least 3 different companies (rinse and repeat every 6 months) to make sure that you always have the best value.

An employer based plan is not always the cheapest. However, there is no way for us to answer this question = insurance is different by each state and the cost is based on what the plan includes / doesn't include. Insurance is usually one of those things, that you get what you pay for = cheap is cheap because it doesn't cover anything.

Why would anyone want anything that is "cheap"??? Insurance is for people who can easily afford it and have assets to protect.

You can search'health insurance' and get some quotes. Good luck. Remember, you get what you pay for.

First of all...resist the temptation to click on a link offering a free quote. They probably aren't local. Contact a LOCAL broker and ask for a detailed proposal in writing.

Somebody in Texas might have a snazzy site, but if you live in Virginia, they probably aren't an expert in your state!
