Top Chef...why did they eliminate dale?

First, to the person that said Dale made "banana scallops:"

No, that was Richard, and the banana scallops have been a huge hit both times they were featured.

Second, to the person that said Dale never "tasted any food:"

Dale told Lisa over and over again her Laksa was too smoky (in fact, when spike tasted it he commented also), but Lisa was too arrogant to listen to Dale.

Finally, Dale being voted off was a sham. I imagine the producers thought he would end up being the "hated but talented" guy (much like Marcel was), and didn't want to deal with the same negative response people had from that season. Dale was #2 overall in wins (stephanie is first), and actually had more wins than both Spike and Lisa combined. Additionally, Bourdain went as far as saying Lisa sticky rice lacked "the basic knife skills any chef should possess." If the contest was out to find the most talented chef, they would have eliminated Lisa, but instead the show felt the need to be politically correct and get rid of the angry minority figure.

Carmel scallops, and you wonder why he got the boot? Sad, because that weasel Spike got out of cooking by being the front of house guy instead of having to cook for Antony Bourdain. Bourdain seemed to want to knock off Spike but just couldn't with the behavior and food of the other two.

All three sucked last night, but Dale just had a bad night. I would work with him, but few cooks would want to work with the other two. Good chefs know how to take critisism unlike Lisa and do not pass the blame like Spike does.

He was eliminated because he was the executive chef and he couldn't run his kitchen smoothly.

Everyone was arguing with each other, blaming each other for the food tasting like crap.

Dale made scallops with a butterscotch sauce, and none of the judges liked it.

There was a dish called Leaky, or something close to that, that dale had never made or ever tasted, and Lisa botched that one.

She also botched a rice pudding dish as well.

The decor of their "restaurant" was also a focal point.

Table clothes and napkins not color cohesive.

It was a variety of things why he was let go.

But that Lisa gal really needs to go.

Weak food and weaker teamwork caused the downfall of Mai Buddha and sent Dale, the appointed executive chef packing, while Stephanie prevailed as the victor.

I thought Lisa should have gone home too, she has sucked a lot more than dale. but his attitude was really bad and he HAD to be executive chef....and they should know from past seasons, when your team loses they go after the "leader"

Isn't Dale the short guy? He was in charge of the team. They elimated the tall guy that was going off on the girl. I know they sure didn't like his arrogance and the way he spoke to them.

I think he never showed any versatility...always some type of Asian something or another. Stephanie will probably win...

Wouldn't it be nice to be the 'taste tester'....

His hair was so cool. he wasn't a bad chef either!

He got the boot cause he did not show leadership and his banana scallops were no good!!

its all about ego, if u work in a professional kitchen u would know, i do, believe me he had it coming
