Gate Crasher Trojan?

i have been getting reports that an IP address is constantly attacking my computer through 6970 port (which is tightly closed). This is either to streaming media use (not in use) or udp attack. Now, funny thing is the registrant is none other than akamai.net.

Is this a current practise (UDP use or port scanning while using akamai services-aka firefox)?
