Just so you know,
The IUD works exclusively as an abortificant.
The pill works as an abortificant 1 - 5% of the time depending on the study. Depo works in a similar way. ( http://www.prolife.com/BIRTHCNT.html )
I think it's important to have all the information before making decisions. I believe life begins at conception and would not want to knowingly extinguish that life. I recommend natural family planning. ( http://www.americancatholic.org/Newsletters/CU/ac0... )

There is the depo shot. It's once every 3 months (I think). I don't understand though.... not all birth control pills are the same. They all have different hormones and different levels of hormones. Some work for some people and not for others. Did your doc say for sure that you "can't use ANY birth control pill"? Or why? Can you not have hormones? If that's the case, just use condoms and/or vaginal film and count the days(!). Don't have sex for the 3 days before you ovulate and the day of. No birth control or contraceptive measures is going to be 100%, so counting the days and using condoms would probably be good for you.

i do the depo shot. its just one shot every 3 months. it affects all women differently, tho, and i recommend being on it for 6-9 months then taking a break for 3 months.

how about the implanion, the coil? or using a femidom during sex. Theres alot of alternatives but this is best discussed with your doctor for something that suites you. Take care huni xxx

Condom plus diaphragm or female spermicide. Used together they are VERY effective.
