Re AVG version 8?

Hi guys, Anyone using new AVG v 8?

I loaded it last night and it picked up loads of stuff including a few trojans.

How do I treat these infections etc and make my computer safe.

Thanks guys

Update:

Is it also true that all AVG stuff is on his one site? if so do the other stuff run and treat etc automatically without me doing anything.

Let AVG remove anything it finds.

If it cant remove it, write down the exact folder name and file name, then startup in safe mode and go delete it yourself.

Open AVG, and click on history at the top. Then select scan results. Look in the infections coloum for the test that found infected files and double click on it. Look at the scan results. Look at the number of infected files and the number of removed files. All the files should have been removed.

    I'm using AVG 8.

If you're used to using previous versions of AVG, do what you did with any infections as you did before.

Try cleaning them first, or delete them failing that.

I've done the same, remove it and stay with AVG7.5 as the new version 8 is not right as yet.

You should just be able to have it get rid of them automatically and heal/delete them.

Check if it said if it did that or not.

try heal them and then restore them, if their unhealable simply delete them, wipe means gone for ever and cant be restored.

    NOTE

Bear this in mind, the free version of AVG dose not remove the trojan hosting the viruses..

Run Malwarebytes and finally run AVG

The program is supposed to take care of them. That's what you got it for. Right?

Get rid of A.V.G altogether, it`s PANTS, try `spybot search and destroy` - free download, then kaspersky, 30 day trial, then if you get on with it, go to Amazon.co.uk, see what special offers they have
