Dell Inspiron 1525 mouse problem?

Ok...so I bought my dell inspiron, and i installed windows xp.

now, I have this wireless mouse but i cannot use it....the cursor simply doesn't move.

Do i need drivers for the mouse. and if yes, WHERE CAN I FIND DRIVERS FOR XP? especially for mouse and keyboard?

I must mention that most driver packages I got off the internet do not include keyboard and mouse drivers.

If it's not about installing drivers, what should I do?

Update:

Ok...so i installed the mouse drivers for the mouse I have a genius luxmate 3000....still the cursor does not move.

pair the wireless devices, there would be connect button on the receiver and on the keyboard and the mouse, try pressing them in sequence , (the sequence depends upon the manufacturer of your keyboard and mouse manufacturer), or else try contacting 1-800-624-9896 (dell's technical support)

It's a driver issue. It's not a windows or Dell issue, you want to go to the manufacturer of the mouse's website and down load the mouse drivers for XP.

What is the brand name of the mouse?

i've got had this same journey with 2 installs of Win7 and for in spite of reason it disables that cool characteristic on touchpad... so an prolonged way, abode windows 7 has been quite good with liberating updates to shelter issues - wait and notice, or revert to Vista (yuck)...
