the battery of my laptop makes the screen to turn off what can i do with it?
its not the screen im pretty sure its not, or is it?
when i plug it in, works but if its running on the battery the screen turns black
just the backlight turns off everything else works

charge it up.if that dont work then its not the battery its the screen. all the battery does is supply power to the laptop..its not got anything to do with the running of the laptop.(iv just read your update,that means your battery is knacked,basically its not holding a charge,ant much you can do about it over then get a replacement battery.)

you can change the setting, open Control panel - power option. and make you pesonal setting.
