Anti-Biting Muzzles for Boston Terriers (or other short snouted dogs)?

Unfortunately I have a Boston Terrier that tends to snap at people he doesn't know...it's very frustrating because I would love to take him for longer walks...but am too afraid. I tried a muzzle that I bought from PetSmart yesterday, but his snout was too short...he had it off in less than 10 secs. I'm at a loss...he's a very loving dog toward the family..but extremely territorial I think...I don't really know. Are there any special muzzles out there for these dogs? Thanks

Muzzles are in all sizes, Have you tried a smaller sized Muzzle? They will natural remove the Muzzle as it uncomfortable.

Length - measure your dog from his eyes to the tip of his nose.

Circumference - measure approximately 1 inch below his eyes around the snout.

Can you take your dog down to Pets Smart, Pet Co store like this to actually try it in the store? Some of the big petstore, allow dogs to come in the store to try on things.

Always use a basket-style muzzle on a dog with a short face (such as Boston Terriers) so you do not interfere with it's breathing. While wearing a basket-style muzzle, the dog will able to open his mouth, pant, drink water and even eat a small treat

Quite frankly, at some point the dog is going to try to remove the muzzle. You want this to happen so the dog finds out that he cannot succeed. Once he convinces himself that he cannot get rid of it, most dogs accept it.

Have you thought about a Custom Made one?

Mesh Muzzle-i worried a smart dog might chew the mesh

You should be able to fit two fingers at the side of the muzzle and at the back of the head.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUA42

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.
