Hyfricator/Cautery Branding?
I was wondering if any of the body mod enthusiasts on this board can give me recommendations or information (website/phone/email) of good branding artists. I have a design I want branded (a Viktor Frankl quote that reads "What is to give light, must endure burning"), and I want to talk to a few artists who are experienced in that sort of work before going ahead with it or not.
The idea is that the quote would run down the length of my inner arm. I've been told by some that this is possible, and others that the quote will likely be unreadable as the scar spreads unless the brand is done shallow.
I am in the NYC area, but am moving to the Portland, OR, so any recommendations in the Northwest or New York City area will be very appreciated.
And no judgements, please. I am very serious about my body mods, I'm a medical student and understand the risks involved, and I'm simply looking for a bit of help from my fellow moddies. Thanks so much!
thanks so much - i have already emailed steve and I'm waiting for a response from him...unfortunately he is extremely popular and it may be a while before i hear back. sigh.
i've also contacted brian and spoke to him about the brand. he was the one who told me that shallow cautery might be my only option for a good scar that won't spread (unless i go for a cutting, but i truly want this to be a brand). thanks though!!

Like Above said Steve Haworth is really good at body mods of all types, If You're into body mods, Go to Modifythemovie.com order it,You can watch clips from it on youtube, Its the best documentary on body modification that I have seen, It features tons of artists piercers, Modification experts, If you're into it like I am (which you appear to be) You'll love it, Also below are two sites I found just by doing a google search, for Branding Scarification in NY Hope it helps and Good luck =)

Steve Haworth is considored one of the best in extreme body mods. He's done things such as magnetic finger implants, and EC Branding.

Hi!
I am not sure what their stance is on branding/scarification, however I would contact High Priestess Piercing in Eugene or Corvallis, they are really exceptional, and the artists are APP members.
