Interested to know if there has been any actual religious conversion happening as a direct result of Y!A. Anybody become Christian? Anyone lose their religion, so to speak? Anyone decide to follow the eightfold path?

I've been thinking, it would be great to either add extra sections under Skin & Body for Piercing and Body Modification, or expand this section to include all kinds of body mod questions by re-naming it "Tattoo & Body Modification" or some such thing. Does anyone else agree or have an opinion on the subject?

Now, don't get me wrong, I love all my tattoos and have zero regrets about any of them. My first one would have to be my least favorite though. It was a tribal-style dragon that an amazing artist friend drew for me, and we got it done together, hers on her bum and mine on my lower back (yes, I know). Thankfully that tattoo is now covered by a full back (upper thighs to shoulders) Japanese tebori piece.

So let's hear it...what your least fave ink on your own body? Don't be shy!

I was wondering if any of the body mod enthusiasts on this board can give me recommendations or information (website/phone/email) of good branding artists. I have a design I want branded (a Viktor Frankl quote that reads "What is to give light, must endure burning"), and I want to talk to a few artists who are experienced in that sort of work before going ahead with it or not.

The idea is that the quote would run down the length of my inner arm. I've been told by some that this is possible, and others that the quote will likely be unreadable as the scar spreads unless the brand is done shallow.

I am in the NYC area, but am moving to the Portland, OR, so any recommendations in the Northwest or New York City area will be very appreciated.

And no judgements, please. I am very serious about my body mods, I'm a medical student and understand the risks involved, and I'm simply looking for a bit of help from my fellow moddies. Thanks so much!

It seems that the God (or Gods) of organized religions like Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc. seem to need a lot of praise constantly, from as many people as possible. Is this just a sign of low self-esteem, or at least a slight ego problem? Why would a God who is perfect and supposedly without ego or need so in need of praise all the time?
