is xabi alonso going to juventus?

It's a funny situation...Liverpool say that they want him at the club, and Xabi says he wants to be there too...but we're lining up a bid for Gareth Barry and Juventus have suddenly gone all public about their intrest. We'll have to wait and see.

I'd value Xabi at at least 17 million, and I wouldn't sell him for a penny less.

i think we are gonna sell him to get the funds to bring barry in from villa... I'm not so sure that's a good idea... alonso can put the ball on a pin head from 60 yards better than beckham, but juventus are building a good team, they already got sissoco and the 2 made a very good partnership at liverpool during the 06/07 season

they are just one club who have 'expressed an interest', I think 12m is a fair price altho' I don't think we would be gaining anything by replacing him with Downing or Barry for that matter............I read an interview with him last week where he said that the only way he would go is if Rafa told him he was no longer needed....if he goes, Rafa has taken another step down in my opinion and he is pretty low already.

It looks like he is. To be honest I think he needs to go as his form since being injured has been average. If you remember his passing ability and overall game play when he first came to us, was brilliant. Now he seems like a different player. Still like him though but we need to build and he's just not good enough anymore.
