Let's talk steroids and records for a while...?

I know all the talk focuses on Bonds, Clemens, and their ilk, but is there anyone else out there who feels a little unsettled by the consecutive games played record being held by a certain Baltimore SS? That last 1000 games or so seems a tad unlikely without some kind of "pepper-upper"...

I'm a red sox fan and live near baltimore the deal is near the end of the record cal would start the game and be gone by the second inning he was a good dude not much power but a good defensive dude you must remember that the starting line-up for some years was called by daddy and he and brother bill were there for the asking. did geherig have daddy making the line-up?

  • W hat have you been smoking?1 pep pills is totally different than steroids .2 Cal showed for every game because he loved to play baseball and when did he ever put 50 hrs in a season he just showed up everyday to play on a losing team nothing else.

C'mon. Why would you put Cal Ripken Jr. in the same paragraph as Bonds and Clemens? Are you saying Gehrig was on steroids when he got his 2130? Cal did it fair and square, that's why he's a Hall of Famer. Besides, if he was allegedly on steroids, wouldn't we have talked about it by now?

Like everyone else said, at best you are all wet. At worst, you have slandered a true great where there is nothing to give rise to the faintest suspicion about Cal Ripken Jr. He is an iron man.

No I am not an Oriole fan.

That is a horrible question Cal was very small for a professional athlete first of all so steriods are out . Also I assume that he was frequently tested during his streak because of the same senseless suspicion

You are a crack head to think that about my personal favorite baseball player ever. Cal never used steroids. I am angered to hear that someone believes that one of the biggest role models ever in baseball would do steroids. The nerve of some people!

How dare you even speak about Cal like that, you uneducated a$$. If you were even worth my time, I would explain that one to you. But your brain doesn't have the capacity to understand how Cal Ripken Jr. did what he did. Get out of my face!!! RR
