  • Can you smoke in heaven?

If you can, it is allowed everywhere, or are there designated areas?

If there are designated areas, are there facilities to dispose of the butts as you go from "smoking" to "non-smoking", or do they expect you to litter like most of the businesses in the US seem to...

  • So, when do we see the world's first Trillionaire?

Doesn't seem like that long ago that Billionaires were like Bigfoot, maybe they existed, maybe they didn't. Today, they're more like athlete's foot, common and bringing discomfort to untold millions. Break out your calculators or crystal balls, tell me your best estimate of the year when the world is ?blessed? with its first guy or girl with $1,000,000,000,000 in net worth...

  • Is it time for a "Coffee" Party?

We've seen the power of the "Tea Party" in hijacking the congressional agenda, I wonder if maybe the Liberal and Progressive among us would be served by a counterweight of sorts. A Democratic primary challenging group with a limited agenda of our own, to wit, litmus test every Democrat seeking election to make sure that he/she will oppose any bill that does not call for a substantial increase in taxes on the very wealthy, with a pledge that they will seek to raise taxes on this group at every opportunity.

Don't bother trying to dissuade me with arguments that raising taxes on the wealthy alone isn't sufficient to get us out of our financial/economic predicament. My intent isn't to save the economy, that ship sailed long ago. We're screwed and we might as well get used to it. All I want to do is punish the SOB's that have prospered by shafting the poor and the middle class for the last 30 or so years. While nothing short of hunting them down and exterminating them like the vermin they are would really satisfy me, realism suggests that the best I can hope for is hitting them where they live, in the pocketbook.

So, what do you think? Anyone else out there think we should tax the living crap out of the rich, and make the Democratic Party the single minded agent of that goal?

  • Let's talk steroids and records for a while...?

I know all the talk focuses on Bonds, Clemens, and their ilk, but is there anyone else out there who feels a little unsettled by the consecutive games played record being held by a certain Baltimore SS? That last 1000 games or so seems a tad unlikely without some kind of "pepper-upper"...

  • Any idea where pitching staff expansion is headed?

Currently, most teams are carrying 12/13 P's and using every last one of 'em. Managers are having trouble coming up with PH's, there bench is so small. I think it could be the impetus to standardizing the DH in both leagues...
