I am moving to El paso from Maryland with 2 dogs, 2 kids, a husband and a hamster.?

A realtor can not advise you of a bad neighborhood.........and being so so close to Juarez..........watch out.........

I lived most of my life in Las Cruces, NM.....right across the border, all of our shopping was done in El Paso. My father owned 3 business's in El Paso at one time.

I have used it to find safe neighborhoods.........

When choosing a neighborhood......drive around for a few weeks every day..........am....afternoon............pm and late at night............see if those are the types of neighbors you want to live with.......check out the type and number of cars in the area.....If you feel safe.......park your car and walk the neighborhood too...........It is so easy to move in and so so hard to sell and move out...........

Also when you decide on a location..........contact the El Paso PD and ask them for a crime break down of the area......example..........home burglaries.........peep n toms....rapes.........gang members, assaults....murders...etc........

You might consider putting your children in private school unless they are bilingual...........You have to speak mostly Spanish to live in this area..........

El Paso is notorious for illegal aliens. Personally I can't stand being around those who break our laws and mock our sovereignty. That is why I moved out of southern California. Those detestable illegal criminals are taking over the southwest and El Paso is right on the front line. Good luck, I'm glad I'm not you. Did I say that I detest illegal aliens? El Paso is loaded with them.

P.S. There is also a lot of drug related violence from all of the illegal drugs coming across the border. The Mexican drug lords have taken over Juarez Mexico, just across the border. Also hundreds of Americans have been kidnapped in Mexican border towns and held for ransom or killed.
