How should I ask my dad if 'I have Korean in me' in Japanese?

I was born and raised in Japan as Japanese.

I didn't think of this untill about 5 years ago but I started to suspect my dad might be Korean - from his original family name and the family name his parents had to change to - and his favorite food, etc.

Now, my Japanese is rusty from living in Middle-O'Nowhere, Canada for th past 10 years. But I think I deserve to know my roots...

Would you have any sugestion on the best way to ask him this in Japanese?

Update:

I need to say this in Japanese because my family in Japan don't speak English.

Thanks ;-)

Update 2:

I guess I didn’t explain my situation very well…

My dad is very open minded, however, he is also a kind of person who keeps secrets to himself and is a typical Japanese (Korean?) man. I didn’t want to screw up on how to ask him this and not get the answer from him.

Here's one way to check but it might not work. Are you sure you and your dad have Japanese citizenship? Koseki? Only Japanese citizens have that and a lot of Korean-Japanese do not, which is why they face discrimination (but it's hard for them to get). There's more and more famous Japanese revealing their Korean ancestry so perhaps the stigma is lifting a bit.

Zainichi (kankokujin) is how to say Korean-Japanese in Japanese. (Sangokujin is the derogatory term I would avoid.)

You could say to your dad, "watashitachi wa zainichi kankokujin desu ka?" (Are we Korean-Japanese?)

Speak clearly and say: Dad, Talk to me about our background, where did we come from.
