why am i always hungry?
Hi all, I would like to know why I am always hungry. I am 21 years old, korean, and I am 5'7'' and weigh 130 and I eat well. Only thing I don't get is exercising. Also I have high metabolism. And I would like to know why I am always hungry. I eat 3 meals a day and I follow the food pyramid guide and I eat moderately, so i wanna know why I'm so hungry all the time. After a good portion meal, I'm either hungry 30 minutes-1hrs after I ate. And when I eat big meals I'm immediately hungry after 2-3 hours I ate. I don't really know what I should change my diet. I do know for sure, when I eat fatty meals I feel more full probably because fat has more calories than carbs and protein and its fat metabolizes in the body slower. So, should I not follow the food pyramid? When i eat fatty foods like I said, I feel more satisfied than following the food pyramid.so what shold i do

I have a high metabolism too, but I don't think that your case is serious. There is a condition that people can have then causes them to over eat. It has to do something with the brain. I think that the brain cannot tell when the stomach is hungry, therefore, the person is always starving and tends to over eat. This disease is severe, I saw it on the show Medical Incredible, but I am sure that you don't have it. If you are truly concerned, consult your physician and they will tell you whats up.

#1 you have a high metabolism so your body needs to be refueled more often then 3 meals a day-there is nothing wrong with eating 6 times a day (every 2-3 hours) as long as you continue to make good choices

The problem is that you are eating 3 HUGE meals and when you eat a lot of food all at one time it digests all at one time and your energy from that food dies out all at one time. You should eat small frequent meals and you shouldn't feel hungry all the time. also in between breakfast, lunch, and dinner eat a piece of fruit every hour that should help you.

Joe i hate to be the one to tell you this, but you are what they call a "bottomlessis pittimous". It's a rare condition that only affects korean males between the age of 20 and 25..... the only thing you can do is eat how you normally do and MAYBE one day, you will over come this horrible disease.

You may want to break your 3 meals into 6. I do that and it helps with the hunger pangs. I have a super fast metabolism too.

just smile, laugh, and take it easy with your life. check on the web for some jokes may be it can help you. and besides: do you use medicines and drugs? or do you sleep well? that kind of things influence a lot.
the same happened to me. i was just irritable for anything. but then i realized that and i set a goal (which you may know what it is). i started to talk with the people around me (about interesting things, you know like movies, jokes, the most craziest things, etc etc...) and listening to them. that way i learn to feel better with myself and with others as well. and they noticed the difference, too.

sometimes we confuse hunger with thirst, try drinking a glass of water when you feel hungry after you've just eaten and see what happens
another tip I can give you is to eat starchy carbohydrates such as pasta instead of sugary carbs because starchy gives you a long steady release of energy whereas sugary gives you a short burst and then you'll feel hungry quicker!

its better to eat 6 small meals through out the day, then there is not such a big gap between meals.
and you may be eating empty calories (usually in junk and non-healthy food) and they don't keep you full very long.
so i hope i helped.
