i have to do a conflict and compromise in history paper by tomorrow for school and its due thursday so although i know and understand about the process of the alaska purchase, what is the "conflict and compromise" that it deals with? i will love you forever if you simply tell me what it is or send me a link with these answers on it. thankss patrick

The US bought Alaska from Russia. Some people thought it was the worst thing we could have done. We got lots of land but it was way up North near the Arctic Circle. They thought there was nothing there but ice and snow. Turns out there was oil there.
