Problems with connecting to the internet on Wii?

I've had my Wii for about 2 months now. Initially I was able to connect it without any trouble, although that was because our wireless router was unsecure (it is now). When my dad finally got around to securing the router, my connection suddenly stopped working. I tried to re-connect to the router but nothing is working.

Any ideas?

You need to re-connect to it be sure to note the settings on security or (WEP or whatever type of security you put on your router.) You will then be prompted for a password. Most common for home routers is WEP if you aren't sure.

To connect to internet just follow these steps:

    1. Turn on your wii, and go to the wii menu (where all the channels are)

    2. Go to wii options (at the bottom left of the page)

    3. Click Wii Settings

    4. Click internet (You might have to scroll through 2 pages) (or it might be right there)

    5. Then click on the first option for internet, then select if your internet connection is wired or wireless

    6. Then it will search for your internet connection

    7. Then click the internet connection that is yours, (if it has a password to connect, then enter the password)

    8. Then it will connect and your done!!

i have used the internet on the wii for type of three years and ive under no circumstances had or considered any viruses on a wii or my wii. There are somewhat no cons except you're able to get a on the spot community or have it stressed out.

You're gonna have to redo the connection and type in the password of your access point.

Um Naruto, that only took you like 3 seconds to type. You copied and pasted that answer from many questions.
