Who agrees that Pat White of WVU will make a strong run for the Heisman Trophy this fall?

Especially if his team wins another BCS game or runs the table.

I believe that he has a very good chance of winning the heisman. That is as long as he stays healthy. He has a very good team around him and I can only think of one key player they lost and that would be the fullback. He has a good reciever group and we all know he can run. His chances are good in my book.

Depends more on the new WVU coaching staff than on White, unfortunately.

I did see WVU trounce whoever they played in their bowl-game last year without Rich Rod, but I've heard too many bad things about their new coach to be 100% certain that there won't be a significant dropoff in the WVU program. If WVU goes only 8-4 or even 9-3 next year, White's chances of winning the Heismann are slim to none IMO.

Pat White seems to be an remarkable soccer participant, yet he's not a reasonable candidate for the Heisman. There are 10-15 gamers greater effective than him on the national point. it quite is not a knock. West Virginia may be the appropriate team. it quite is in basic terms that White isn't good sufficient in my view to compete for that style of award.

If WVU wins a BCS game, he's got a great shot at it. If they run the table, he's got an excellent shot. With all the turnover and turmoil on the coaching staff this offseason, I don't expect either to happen, though.

QBs and RBs are ALWAYS overrated and defensive players are always underrated. There should be more defensive players to get the Heisman. But WVU is primarily a running team so I don't think so.

i agree completely... he still has good talent around him even though slaton and the fullback is gone he still has good receivers and the new running back is just like slaton but might be faster and can catch balls good so pat will have a good season and run for heisman if he stays healthy

the heisman is given out before the bcs games guys... i think he'll have a good shot at the heisman but my boy tebow has a better shot at repeating...

the offense will depend more heavily on him with slaton gone and without a quality bolcker in smith, and he will be forced to make plays on his own, padding his stats. He will definitely be one of the top candidates and will win unless Tebow puts up 20 touchdowns on the ground and in the air again, that man is a beast

Yes if he doesn't get hurt by PITT again

Naw, he's way too fragile and can't throw.

WVU just got lucky because Oklahoma was playing without like their top six players in that bowl game. They got beat by Pitt for crissakes!
