Do i really need to see a dentist every 6 months?

I brush, rinse, and floss 4x a day every day, after meals and then again at night before I go to bed. I see the dentist for a cleaning and x-rays twice a year, every year. The last couple of times I went, they told me I was doing a great job of cleaning them and keeping the tartar away; they barely used the pic on them. I've only been doing the 4x a day routine for about a year; before that, it was twice a day and even then I had no problems except a bit of tartar formed. Now I'm keeping it at bay, according to the hygienist. I really don't want to have to go all the time because now that they don't have to do much, they want to do straightening and whitening and I don't want to go through all that; I couldn't afford it anyway. So don't lecture me on cosmetic procedures because that's not what I'm asking.

Personally, I think you're doing such a good job that going to the hygenist so that the dental staff can have a captive audience for a sales schpiel is just not necessary.

I purely flow as quickly as a 12 months. yet your teeth are significant. in case you had issues including your teeth, and you probably did no longer hardship going to a Dentist and you enable it flow , it might desire to get contaminated and individuals have been prevalent to die, from infections on your teeth and gums. So get your teeth often checked and wiped sparkling. Thank God for dentist, even however they could be costly. superb %. Venus

You are going to need a cleaning every 6 months no matter what you do.

If they want you to do more, just say no.

It might be hard for you, but you need to learn to say no politely, with a smile. It will be useful to you in life later on.

You still should. A dentist can see more inside your mouth better than you can. Also for xrays and other things.
