Broken Ide Bus? or bad Hard Drive HELP!?
I think i fried my IDE bus. But that CD rom still shows on the secondery i havnt put the cd rom in the primary slot yet but it wont read my hard drives. I have tried 3 working ones. I think there was some sort of power outage today when i was out school. I reset my bios and tried so many hard drive configurations with the IDE cables. Could my cable be broken? IF its a fried ide bus theres nothing i can do right?

if it's a fried bus then there is nothing you can do .... try hooking your hard-drive to your CD Rom cable .... and vice-versa .... if you have 1 IDE channel you can set your HDD to master and CD to slave and run them off the 1 good channel
