what is wrong with the republicans?
i call myself a republican, but tonight i was snubbed by a republican booth at our farmers market. i am a disabled vet in a wheelchair with long hair and i smoke weed. when i went up to the republican booth i sat right in front at the table for 30 seconds while the guy watched me, then a man in a suit walked up. the same guy who watched me got up and started a conversation with the guy in the suit. there were 2 other workers not doing anything who also ignored me. then i decided to wheel away and they never even said hello to me. when did the GOP start to hate disabled vets, and is it my chair, my hair, or my weed smoking?
after that i wheeled down to the democrats who greeted me as soon as i wheeled up to them. should i become a dem?
i had gotten high right before going, and i had my sun glasses on, but i do not go around smoking in public.

Why would you become a dem just because two conseratives weren't friendly? Of course the dem's liked you, they probably wanted some of your pot. I love vets, and everything they have done for this country. So thanks for everything you have done, and if it were me there, i would have said hello, and i'm a republican. ;)

Well, how do they know you smoke weed? If you were smoking weed right in front of them, maybe you made them uncomfortable. It is illegal, you know.
ADD: You probably shouldn't rely on your judgement of the situation if you were high. Try going back drug free with a clear mind and see what happens. Regardless, being treated "badly" by some workers is a silly reason to change parties.

Yes you should become a democrat! What have republicans done or "plan" on doing to help the disabled vets who deserve the best in this country. The GOP claim to be very patriotic yet they don't provide for their veterans who have fought for our country. Geegoly those republicans. I welcome you to the other side...the democrat side.

yes, we love people unconditionally. Jesus had long hair & even though alot of dems don't talk about their spiritual beliefs they are true christians....So look into the truth about dems. I am sorry you were treated disrespectfully, Just let it go & go to places you feel more joy. Dems are much more fun & so I don't know why you were around the stuffy cons but you will see after a while you will be happier.

You were probably wearing the guise of the other side.Republicans can be quite unwelcoming in that way and they would much rather greet someone in a natty suit regardless of their contribution to our country's defense.Take care.

Source(s): My hair is all the way down to my waist. I dropped in to the Rep HQ and as soon as I asked where the Huckabee bumper stickers were they were all chatty with me. (this was a little while ago)
