LC, I haven't seen it yet.
But many people have and 52 (to date) of them have written comments on the IMDb website.
(Some of them negative)
There are sure to be some spoilers:

Samantha ends up leaving Smith at the very end of the movie because she just doesnt want to be a girlfriend anymore. Charlotte has a baby girl that they name Rose. Big leaves Carrie at the alter and she doesnt talk to him for about a year but in the end they end up getting married in a court house, which is all he wanted in the first place. Steve cheats on Miranda because they never have sex and she leaves him, but in the end they get back together again. Carrie gets Jennifer Hudson as an assistant and she moves back to St. Louis in the end to get married to her boyfriend who broke up with her a long time ago. It was seriously such a great movie. I cried like every time Miranda and Steve had something new happen.
You MUST see it. I completely loved it and can't wait for it to come out on DVD!

Big buys Carrie and himself a penthouse. Carrie and Big get engaged. Big gets cold feet and stands her up at the altar. The girls go on Carrie's Mexican honeymoon. Steve cheats on Miranda. Miranda leaves him. Carrie hires an assistant-Jennifer Hudson- who cleans up her life...fixes her website, unpacks her apartment, (it was packed for moving to Bigs). Charlotte gets pregnant and has a baby. Miranda and Steve go to counseling and there is a touching scene where they reunite on the bridge (made me cry). Samatha leaves sweet Smith because she wants hot action. Carrie and Big get back together for the seven millionth exhausting time and finally get married.
There are a lot of weird bits in the movie-Samantha flying in and out from CA and the girls screaming every time she comes home. Seems like they should have just left her in NY. I guess Stanford and Anthony are a couple...there are two fleeting scenes where they kiss at new years and are having dinner together. There is no explanation for the dissapation of their mutual hate or Marcus being out of the picture.
It's a pretty good flick, but basically doesn't bring us past the series ending. These characters seem completely unchanged by the last five years of their life. I was disappointed in the ending. Carrie is not her best self with Big and I think she should have learned something-evolved by now. But she's the same old Carrie...maybe a little duller. Don't get me wrong, there were touching bits, probably touching from emotional manipulation, but they were still good. Still...sort of a boring movie. I was suprised by it's boringness. I mean after all we've been through with Carrie-this is it? She can't make it with nice guys like Adian and she's going back to the same dysfunctional relationship??? Big has messed with her soooo many times. In serious publicly humiliating ways.
Adian does not make a reappearance as many people hoped. None of Carries exes make an appearance.
Quite frankly, I was happy for a lack of passionate story line if I got some visual eye candy-a fashion-ate story line if you will. But the FASHION was the most disappointing bit! The interesting thing about series-Carrie was she always mixed it up a bit. But it's pretty much high fashion, haute head to toe. No funky weird necklaces. Nothing unexpected. Clunky gladiator sandals with elegant dresses-even the wedding dress. It works on one or two outfits, but gets old. I guess there is one scene where she is wearing a "stay alive in 85" t-shirt dress, but that's about it.
