Is Obama a man of principle? Or will he do whatever is politically favorable?

He passionately spoke about Wright, his supporters went "awwww".......then denounced him.

He passionately said he would stay at the church and how great it was, his supporters went "awwwww".......then he quit it.

Principle? That word is not in his vocabulary. He will do whatever he can get by with to get what he wants. I can't wait to hear Michelle when he loses by a landslide.

He has divided the Dems, he has divided the races and he wants to divide the nation. Not with my vote.

Clinton now or McCain in November.

    Clinton 2012.

I find it very strange that Obama has attended this church for 20 years and listened to the sermons of these ministers, then when he gets into politics and others don't share his churchs views he distances himself from the minister and now resigns from the church?

Then when you can go on line and read how he really feels in his own words in his books, what is he going to do say that he was against whites back then because he was brain washed by his old church? I find it very interesting that a man who refuses to place his hand on his heart and say the pledge of allegience to our flag, but was a member of a church who swore alligence to Africa, who has stated in his own writtings he doesn't care for the white race, and then turn his back on his church and beliefs, because of political gain could be trusted to run our nation

Obama joined the church for political gain and now he is quitting for political gain....not the kind of 'leader' I want...

I demand clarity, truth, and full disclosure from any individual wanting to be the President of the USA!!! I expect more from an individual who has painted themselves as the best America has to offer for leadership.

His church was being threatened with bomb threats and death threats. It was becoming a safety issue. Obama didn't want to draw anymore danger or negative attention to the church.

Look back at his (very short) political career.. you will see.

He is about as politically motivated and unprincipled as they come.

It is ironic he is running against McCain this year- probably the most principled politician there is. (which of course is not saying a whole lot)

No, he is not a man of principle. I do not hate obama, I denounce him, yet I will never be a Judas and vote for him. He is setting a poor example.

Obama will throw his wife out to the lions if it is politically convenient for him to do so. I think his behavior has more than demonstrated this.

    Obama--a man of PRINCIPLE?

He changes faces more often than Michael Jackson.

I am not for Obama or Clinton and not even really in favor of McCain. BUT, when faced with the best of all evils... it is best to stay with the devil you already know. McCain is the best bet for this country. (in my opinion)

He's George W. Bush's cousin, did you really expect anything great from him to begin with? Other than the fact that their family is great at manipulating voter counts?
