Pastor Wright had been retired for 10 years. The church does a lot of good for the area. There is more to a church than a crazy retired pastor. That was the past. The present is another story. The priest was way over the top and Obama could not stay any longer. Some day, it won't matter if our elected officials go to church or not. That will cut out a lot of this silliness.

Yeah! Just like the way Hillary thought her husband of 20+ years was faithful and wasn't!
Or like the way McCain took forever to denounce the endorsement from the Hitler-supporting Hagee!

Oh, yeah, sure, happens ALL the time. . .takes me 20 years to figure things out. If it took him that long to figure it out, he's too dumb to be in office. Everything this man does is political expediency and political pandering. He's a flat-out rat.

obama didn't resign because he thought the church was "awful."
the media just won't leave his church alone. so now that he's no longer associated with it, they have no reason to invade this House of God.
father pfleger has his own church. yet, he deliberately sought his own 15 minutes of shame at Trinity because he knew that the media would be there.
so obama did the right thing, now the media can leave those church members alone

Luckily, I never gave them much money. But I did give lots of support and man hours.
The funny thing is, when Obama loses, the DNC will also lose all of their newly found friends.

I never gave it any money, but I was a registered Republican for 36 years before I finally gave up on it.
