Wide screen vs full screen?

Wide screen is how it appears in movie theaters. Usually it wont appear full screen when you view it on your wide screen TV though and you will see little black bars on the top and bottom.
Full screen your entire screen will be filled but the image will be missing the edges so you will be missing details of the image from the theater.
Overall, wide screen is probably better.
Full screen uses a 4x3 ratio and wide screen uses a 16x9 ratio.

Wide screen shows a little bit more on the sides mostly useless stuff like the rest of someones arm or the Trash can in the corner of the room. While at the same time forcing you to deal with giant black blocks at the top and bottom of your screen. Full screen fills the entire TV and cuts off small sections of the side like that trash can or the half arm.

wide screen fills only about 2/3 of your screen while full screen fills all.
