What up ASA- Honestly most people who are that tall are very slow and don't move well which is a very big part of the game.
There have been guys in the past and right now with Yao in the NBA and Yao is one of the few who has been succesful because of how coordinated he is for his size- but others have not been as coordinated and didn't really enjoy very succesful careers- Gheorge Muresan, Manute Bol, Chuck Nevitt, Shawn Bradley, etc.

There is no height restriction in pro basketball, but...
It takes more than size to play basketball successfully; it takes agility, coordination, and stamina. Out of the handful of 8 footers walking the planet, none of them possesses these qualities to anywhere near the degree required to play basketball at any high level. You might find that combination in a video game, but not in real life. There has never been an 8 footer in the NBA, but there have been several 7' 6" or taller (Meuhresan, Bol, Bradley) and not only did they not dominate, they were in fact scrubs. Yao Ming, at 7'5", is the tallest player to have any significant success in the pros and even he is notoriously injury prone. There seems to be a limit as to how tall a human can be and still be able to use the size effectively. Even 7 footers who are athletic and can move well are extremely rare which is why the list of truly great centers in NBA history is such a short one.
An 8ft man would NOT dominate no matter how hard he practiced.

But of course, it's legal. But it's not a guarantee, he'd dominate the league. An 8-foot man would surely lack the speed, agility and coordination to dominate the game.

good threat too. notwithstanding if it do no longer count in case you advantageous. Spud Webb, Muggsy Bogus had long careers interior the league. Spud grow to be 5'7 n Muggsy 5'3. Earl Boykings is 5'5, performed on the nuggets. Nate obinson on the Knicks is 5'5. And final yet no longer least Allen Iverson. indexed at 6ft yet greater like 5'9 or 5'10 and that i understand you heard of him. improve ya sport. element guards are a dime a dozen in case you get no larger than 6ft. Why you think of bums like Greg Ostertag participant 4eva interior the NBA or Shawn Bradley? Cuz top isn't basic to return by skill of. in the experience that your elementary length you have alot of comp to circulate against! improve your take care of and jumpe shot. be sure you may DRIBBLE AND end on the ring consisting of your OFF HAND. Passing and protection too. velocity is a plus, in case you a slow small take care of you will no longer make it. till you have a actual severe basketball IQ al l. a. John Stockton. in case you have a brilliant mid selection sport, (3's are overvalued, 35% from there is cool) can bypass and play super D you would be word. do no longer play elementary, play super!

He might but he would be better in the international game where goal tending is allowed. Lots of supertall men are too skinny to be effective basketball players and struggle with many bone problems. There have been really tall men in the league that were offensively dominate. They do tend to help on defense though.

There is no height restriction in the NBA. It doesn't matter much on how tall a player may be, it all points to his athleticism: shoot, pass, rebound, run. Past NBA players, Manute Bol and Gheorghe Muresan were listed as 7'7" and they were not at all dominant at their position. On the NBA active list, Yao Ming is the tallest at 7'6".

now...Come on Yao is 7'6 and he isn't dominating the NBA.. and he even practiced for years
It doesn't matter if you are 8 ft or 6 ft if you got skill and talent you will dominate

yes... but no team would wanna draft him, he would be too slow and not very good at handling the ball seeming that he would be too tall and it would take the ball more time to bounce and reach his hands.. with that said the ball would be too easy for NBA players to steal... even shaq would be able to steal it...
