photoshop is the best, and it's expensive.

    here are some alternatives

    Downloadable opensource freeware:

"The GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) does most of what Photoshop does; the Gimpshop project (plasticbugs.com) even makes it look like Photoshop."

Hands down, Adobe Photoshop CS3. It is an absurdly incredible photo editor with so many features that I doubt I could ever discover all its uses.

The GIMP (just Google for that) is a free image manipulator program that is (this is the best part) FREE! It does most of what Photoshop does, but it's FREE.

For something that will help you organize your pictures primarily, and will do a little bit of editing VERY easily, check out Google's Picasa. This is what I use to organize my photos, due to the fact that it's simple, clean, uses a lot less memory than Photoshop, and the one-touch editing does a fairly good job.

    IT IS AWESOME!

you can do so much to your pics and it is totally free.

it's the only pic editing site i ever use and the only one i have ever found that works so well but is free.

it animates pics, Adds backgrounds, changes colors, and allot more
