We have the three worst possible candidates. Do you think it is time to take back the election process?
What do you suggest?
I think it is time to demand an open re-do of the Primary Election.
All states on the same day.
Separate ballots for Dems & Repubs.
No cross-over voting allowed.
List at least the top six potential candidates for each party plus one line for a write-in.
Hold the election on the third Tuesday of July.
Let the chips fall where they may. Publish the results.
Let the Parties hash out the results during their conventions.
What would you suggest?
THIS election cycle is a MESS !!!

SO AGREED! I believe it is time for a Conservative party... since the repubs clearly abandoned those principles and a new democrat party and a new name for the current democrat party being the liberal/socialist party. That way the bulk of the country will actually have a sensible candidate to back. Both parties are failing miserably and they are not listening to the American people.

First let me say that you are correct we do not have one good candidate in this election.
Having said that let suggest that the process is not broken We The People are just to lazy to make it work.
Politics start at the local elections and who we select to represent us there translates into the national parties. The problem is we don't pay much attention to those races and don't become engaged until it becomes a national issue.
If we are going to have a government that represents the will of the people we need to get involved early. The individuals and groups that have a strong agenda and the money to support their causes never stop working the process.
That means that big business and the left wing Communist that want to manipulate of and control our government put the money and effort into the fight early and often.
Study your local candidates and only vote for those individual that represent your views and values. Failure to do that leads us to where we are today.

I agree with your assessment of our candidates. Remember when Schwarteneggar was elected Governor in California? There were dozens of people on the ballot. Even Gary Coleman. I think that the American people should be given the opportunity to make a choice. A CHOICE! These three candidates do NOT give us a choice.

I voted for him and not Gore in case you have missed the past 7 and a half years Bush has been the president and you can't get much more un-Green then with a Republican in the white house. there is no way to make a paragraph or two on why Ralph Nader would be a good president.

I like the Libertarian candidate Bob Barr. I agree with most all of their ideas.
I've never voted Libertarian before. But I'm SOoooo mad at both parties that I wasn't going to vote at all. But NOW, I actually have a candidate that i LIKE.

Since our votes mean almost nothing, we need to march in Washington, do what the Blacks do, you know, the Ghandi approach of passive resistance, we need to march and let them know we will no longer tolerate their crooked lying ways.
It seems we need a leader someone who will speak our mind to Washington.
This is my suggestion that we pull a Martin Luther King passive resistance thing to make our rights recognized and exercised.
I don't agree with passive resistance but it worked for the blacks, they now occupy leadership roles and they did it by marching, threats of lawsuits and this is what we need to do.
We need to force our way in and demand that we be recognized.
