Fear of rockin roller coaster and tower of terror at Disney world?

Ok so my family is going to disney world in july. I'm an only child so no other kids will be there to cheer me on so I'm depending on yall. Ok first rockin rollercoaster. I love roller coasters but I've never ridden one upside down. I know the rockin roller coaster goes upside down but i read you can barely feel it so I just need some reassurance on that. Next the tower of terror. I've ridden a fem drop rides like the cliff hanger at six flags but none as extreme as the ToT so tell me what to expect. I really want to ride both of these but I need yalls help so please just describe the rides in detail for me. Thanks

Update:

I really want to ride it but fear does often over come desire

ok rock n rollercoaster is the BEST ! the thing is, dont be scared .. seriously its amazing, you will have such a great time on it that you wont care after awhile that it goes upside down..they play aerosmith music while your on it, its great.. it starts off liek your in the aerosmith studio and then they take you in a limo to go to see there concert..you go in the "limo" (which is the rollercoaster) and you sit down and you are definitely secure in it, dont worry about that.. safety is huge in disney and you got it for pretty much every ride... you go in the limo and sit there for a couple of minutes, in your limo theres speakers so you can hear aerosmith, and they count down saying "3 .. 2 .. 1!" and you go SOOOOO fast into the ride, it may seem scary but its the best feeling, you go in and its all dark and neon things as your going through it .. and you see things and you go through them, its so cool and they play upbeat aerosmith songs while you are on it, then it leads you to the suvenier shop (excuse me for my spelling) and you can get your photo they take in it, its seriosuly the best rollercoaster i have ever been on .. and about tower or terror..its SOOOO fun you go into a "haunted hotel" where you go inside and they bring you to a room, the people working there may try to scare you a bit, but just play around with them, its more fun like that.. and then you watch a little clip and go into another room where they put you in a little elevator, you are sitting in the elevator and it brings you up to different floors, starts off with a ghost and stuff, its not scary though.. and trust me im scared of everything, then youll sit in the dark for about 5 seconds and youll end up having the elevator bring you up really fast .. and itll go up and down, its never the same 2 times .. its sooo much fun and the pictures come out histerical..dont be worried just go for it ..you wont be sorry

The Tower of Terror is a cool ride...Just scream and make it fun. I'm not a huge fan of thrill rides but its definitely worth it.

The Rock n Roller Coaster is cool too. The upside down thing is not a big deal. The scariest part of the ride is when it starts...the car speeds off very fast. Just take a deep breath right before the light turns green and scream scream SCREAM! and enjoy.

(Screaming or yelling stupid things makes it more fun and helps with the butterflies in the stomach feeling).

I agree with the previous post...they are Disney must do's!

I think you'll love both of these rides. Just so you know, coasters with loops tend to be a lot smoother than ones with just hills (especially wooden coasters.) RRC is very smooth, and the upside down parts happen so fast that you won't have time to be scared.

Tower of Terror is a blast. Yes, it will take your stomach, but it only lasts a minute. The best part of the ride is the Twilight Zone part before the drop. I highly recommend checking out some old episodes of the show before you go. The ride is very true to the feel of the show.

Hmmm, I don't know if you want to try these then. With Rockin roller coaster, the only thing I remember is the very beginning. It shoots to 60 miles per hour in 3 seconds, I don't remember going upside down at all.

If you have been on drop rides before then Tower of Terror might not be that bad. I have been on worse ones before so..... with TOT I would recommend watching one a couple of times before going on to see if you want to. Unfortunately, if memory serves, rockin roller coaster is indoors and you can't see it.....

Sorry, probably not much help here!

I totally know what you mean. Sometimes the fear makes it no fun. With that said, I've never been on Tower of Terror because I hate that falling feeling. I've heard that it drops multiple times, and it is on a random program, so you're not sure when it will drop.

Rockin is great, though! It starts you off with a jolt at 60mph and send you right into the loop. Going upside down is waaay easier than dropping, so you'll be fine. The scenery is great, and Aerosmith is playing the whole time. It's seriously very fun. Put your feels aside, it's worth it!

    Have fun!!

I used to have the same problem, but now I LOVE crazy rides! Actually, the rockin rollercoaster is my favorite ride of all time, and the tower of terror is definately at the top of my list too! I had never been on an upside-down rollercoaster before, but then I went to Six Flags one year and forced myself to go on this insane rollercoaster that went upside down like 6 or 7 times, and I loved it! To tell you the truth, I was freakin out when I got on it but I kept telling myself that I had to conquer my fear, and when it was over, I was like LETS DO IT AGAIN!! Honestly, I thought the Tower of Terror was going to be a lot scarier than it really was. Since I was inside, I wasn't as scared as I get when I go on other drop rides where your feet are dangling, like at Six Flags. Also, the Rockin Rollercoaster is really cool because it's in the dark and at the beginning, you go from 0-60 m.p.h. in like 3 seconds! In my opinion, neither one of these rides were nearly as scary as I thought they would be. If I were you, I would go on both rides at least once 1. to conquer your fear 2. to try something new 3. to experience a couple of the highlights of Disney World 4. to say you did it. Plus, both rides take pictures while you're on them, and they're always fun to see. Who knows, you may end up falling in love with them like I did! I hope you have fun, and if you don't like them, then stick to the rides that you do like! The most important thing is to have fun on your trip and trying something like this might help a lot! Hope this helps!

Tower of Terror is literally the best ride ever! Don't miss out, it's so much fun! It'll bring you up a few stories and then drop unexpectedly, it's pretty short.

And I'm not sure about the roller coaster @ disneyworld because I've only ridden the one at Disneyland California Adventure, but it goes upside down. It was my first roller coaster ever riding and I was pretty dissapointed. It goes so fast you can't really enjoy it, but the upside down part is no big deal.

    Have fun!

Rocking Rollar Coaster is awesome... its so much fun.

And it goes SO fast, you won't even realise you went upside down. Its all in the dark, so if you are not used to rollar coasters, you may find it hard to "control" your neck as you can't really brace yourself for 'what lies ahead'..... but its all fun, and again, a VERY quick ride!

Tower of Terror is awesome too. But be warned, it is NOT JUST 1 quick drop. After the 1st drop, it WILL take you back up and drop you several more times in a row, repeatedly. Its a lot of fun, and the view of the whole park at the top is incredible. But again, if you don't like the senseation of being dropped, you may not be crazy about this ride.

Don't be scared though ~ Disney is an absolute blast & you will love everything about your trip! Have a great time! =)

When I ride the upside down rollercoaster, the first few times I will focus on the track in front and not worry about the upside down part. Once i have experienced it, I am more comfortable and will look off to the side to see the crazy view.

Tower of Terror is not that bad - actually one of my favorites. If you've been on drop rides before, you will have no problem with this one.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster is probably the most intense. I love all of them, but shooting off at 60 mph and then doing multiple inversion definitely makes it the most intense. Expedition Everest and Tower of Terror are by no means tame though.

Yes, when you go upside down on the Rockin' Roller Coaster you can not feel it.

The Tower of Terror I went on when I was 7 and it was really fun. Just a great rush as you fall and then it is over.

Don't worry! Almost all of Disney's rides are supposed to be for children, so don't be afraid and have fun!
