The Roman Catholic church truly do worship Mary.?

We as saints of GOD and followers of Christ should worship only Christ and God the Father.

but the Catholics worship( pray to and give thanx to Mary) and refer to their preists as "father" and call the Pope the "Holy Father"...this is blasphemy to the most High LORD GOD.

...but I would like to hear your views of this!

+ Mary and the Saints +

Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including the Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, and Methodist Churches.

The Communion of Saints is the belief where all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When you die and go to heaven, you do not leave this family.

Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints, you, me, my deceased grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul II.

As part of this family, you may ask your family and friends living here on earth to pray for you. Or, you may also ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint Andrew, or your deceased grandmother living in heaven to pray for you.

Prayer to saints in heaven is simple communication, not worship.

Asking others to pray for you whether your loved ones on Earth or your loved ones in heaven is always optional.

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 946 and following: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3a...

+ Call no man Father +

Matthew 23:6-9 reads, "They love places of honor at banquets, seats of honor in synagogues, greetings in marketplaces, and the salutation 'Rabbi.' As for you, do not be called 'Rabbi.' You have but one teacher, and you are all brothers. Call no one on earth your father; you have but one Father in heaven."

Are we also not to call anyone "teacher" or "doctor" which is how "rabbi' would translate? I think not.

This is call for humility for those in leadership roles. Not to be taken literally.

We are not to deny our male parent and cut the Commandment to honor our father and mother in half.

Some leaders in any church may fall into the same folly of a lack of humility as the pharisees of Jesus' day.

    The Apostle Paul writes:

I am writing you this not to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children. Even if you should have countless guides to Christ, yet you do not have many fathers, for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. (1 Corinthians 4:14-15)

    And:

As you know, we treated each one of you as a father treats his children, exhorting and encouraging you and insisting that you conduct yourselves as worthy of the God who calls you into his kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12)

    And:

I urge you on behalf of my child Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment, who was once useless to you but is now useful to (both) you and me. (Philemon 10-11)

And finally, Peter calls himself the "father" of Mark:

The chosen one at Babylon sends you greeting, as does Mark, my son. (1 Peter 5:13)

    + With love in Christ.

Catholics never worshipped Mary, nor will they ever. Mary is the Mother of Earth. But as with Mary and all Saints, we dont pray to them, we ask them to intercede for us. And a Saint isn't really higher than another mortal, they are just a person who died, and gave us proof that they are in heaven. And Mary has given us several signs to us on earth. But there are way to many to name right now. But all Christians give some type of honor to Mary, which she deserves. But the Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, Lutherans, and Anglicans give Mary the most honor. And the Jehovah Witnesses believe that Mary will be one of the people ruling on High with Jesus. But as for calling priests father, and the Pope the Holy Father, that is just a title. In fact all the titles God uses, despite the title God are not just reserved for God. And the word Father has been used since the very beginnings of Judeo-Christian beliefs. Abraham was, and is still called our Father in Faith. So father simply means "starter" (ex. we call our dads father because they were officially the ones who started our lives.)

I see that your ability to understand Scripture is compromised by your prejudice. If you understood scripture properly you would find that your interpretation is incorrect.

Catholic Christians do not worship the blessed mother of God.

    Catholic Christians worship only God.

The Bible does not prohibit the use of the word father only the misuse. St. Paul called himself father when writing to St. Timothy.

Catholic Christians commit no blasphemy in their practice.

You are bearing false witness against the Church and Christ's faithful by posting untruths about Catholic beliefs. One is compelled to think that this is intentional because the Catechism of the Catholic Church refutes your claims. Please verify your claims before breaking one of God's commandments in attacking His Church. God bless!

You are either badly misinformed or else deliberately lying about your Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ. We give great honor (hyperdulia) to the Blessed Virgin because by her assent, our Savior was born into the world. But worship (latria) is give to God and ONLY to God -- never to one of His creatures, no matter how holy that person was.

And if it is sinful to call any spiritual authority "Father," then why did Paul and John both refer to themselves or other people as "fathers"? Jesus meant that we are not to call just any person a spiritual authority unless that individual has proven worthy of the title.

I'd like to think that you're actually going to hear and -- more importantly -- listen to our views about a subject that you apparently know nothing about. But given your obvious antagonism towards Catholicism, I won't be surprised if you keep on repeating the same old lies about the Faith that I love.

Chris. the funny thing is about that Jesus is savior website.

i have ran into it many times! and everytime that isee anything on it or get to it and read what he says. i feel the devil trying to get into my soul.

pray deeply for discernment of spirits. don't rely on what other say. pray that God may let you know the Truth rather than closing your heart.

in the opening of our heart and the acceptance of love we gain Truth, Truth that is Jesus Christ and his Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

    may God bless you!

    your brother in Christ,

    -Jeff

More elitist garbage from someone who doesn't understand the difference between asking someone to pray for you, and actually praying to them.

As far as "call no man father", I guess that means you better not refer to your father as "father", otherwise you'd be guilty of blasphemy too.

Also, you said "Christ AND God". That would make you a polytheist, not a Christian. ;)

Any special reason why you would like to hear any views other than your own? The only way that statement is a "question" is because it has a little question mark after it. I could be mistaken, but it sounds to me like you've made up your mind.

    You're wrong, though.

I think you need to educate yourself about Catholics. You are so wrong . Catholics honor Mary as we honor anyone who has done something special and good for others.

The Bible also tells us to cut off our hand and to pluck out our eye if they (it) cause us to sin. How many hands and eyes do you have?
