What error message are you getting. It could be blocked by your ISP or firewall for some reason. You might try the address as www.nbc.com

    Response to additional details.

That didnt really say much. Try this, open up a shell window (start, run and type cmd).

    Enter this "tracert www.nbc.com".

It may time out. You will get a list of the locations and IP addresses on all the hops it takes to get to www.nbc.com. The last one is the one that is causing your problem. If it is in your own local network or your isp, that is where the issue is. If it looks like a suspecious name, you could have a virus or adware that is blocking it. If it doesnt get out of your computer, it is possibly your own firewall or parental controls.

You can close or exit the shell window.

I agree with Wally Z and it could be that you could have picked up a virus that is interfering with you viewing the page.

I guess if you really want or need to view it, you could use a proxy for the time being if it has to do with you ISP blocking it. I wonder if companies ban users or even ISPs when something bad enough happens (a hacker maybe?).
