If the window opens so your plant would get 10 - 12 hours of direct sunlight you could plant a cherry tomato. Use a pot about a foot deep and a foot wide. Pots dry out quickly so water it ever day to every other day. Add some fertilzer every 30 - 45 days too.

A tomatoe needs lots of sunshine. Do you have a place to sit a big pot outside? If you do you can grow tomatoes, or you can come to me and my mothers garden in about 3 weeks. We have 80 tomatoe plants, and pick your own!!

If you've got a patio or deck in/on your apartment, it would be better to put the plant outside. Also, there are certain varieties of tomatoes which will grow in containers, so you'll have to make sure you purchase one of those varieties.
Good luck.

You can get a window garden kit and grow them as long as they can get plenty of sun and warmth.
There are many stores on the web that sell them or you can usually pick up one at Wal Mart or any Home Improvement store. Hope that helps and good luck!!!

Do you have an outside porch??? if so you could get a big pot and grow some out their!
Else growing inside would be pretty hard because when they bloom, I do belive they need bees to polinate them!! So you can get the fruit!!

Yes you can. In fact, lately a lot of people have been growing them hanging upside-down, with good results.
Enjoy!
