Its not a joke, the Kennedys are from the Cavandish line of the 13 families. Their approval is a must for any Presidential appointments.

What does Carolyn Kennedy bring to the table other than her last name? What does she do now? Yes, I think this would be a joke. It would be a blatant attempt to capitalize on a name. It would make Obama loose any credibility.

It is a marketing ploy used by the Obama campaign. They are marketing him as the next JFK and with the name Kennedy now in play, Americans can make the leap much more easily.

I was around when JFK was president, and Obama ain't no JFK.

Coming from the dysfunctional Kennedy Clan Caroline would not know a good VP if one drove her off a bridge at Chappaquiddick.
