Getting impatient about knowing what I am having..?

i found out at 18 weeks

You should be able to tell as long as the baby cooperates. He/she may have their legs crossed or be turned the wrong way. I didn't get to find out what my baby was until she was 24 weeks. My docs kept pushing my ultrasound back until the next visit...and it just went on and on. Oh yeah, I was mad! But I found out that I was having a lil girl and right when I found out I went crazy w/the clothes shopping! But usually it is around week 18-20 when they schedule an ultrasound

Don't worry you are not the only one i am 22 weeks and 5 days and i still wont know till June 19 and that is only if baby agrees to show its goods. But if my visit to the doc today was any sigh on how the ultrasound will go i am out of luck baby would not stay still just to get the heart rate today it took 10 min to get as close to time and beat 140 plus or minus.but the best of luck to you

I am 15 weeks pregnant, and its driving me mad..

I dont really want to buy things till i know what im having..

I have heard that heaps of people find out when they are 16 weeks what they are having..

So i have an ultrasound appt in 8days and i am hoping i fing out then..

I just found out what my baby was like 2 weeks ago. I was 17 weeks and that was the first thing they toold me. Pretty good chances!!! Godd luck. I know exactly how you feel!!

It really depends on your doctor, and how they plan to do things. I got my gender ultrasound done at 16w5d, but thats extremly early, and i dont know why my doc did that.

If he doesn't do it on your next appointment, you could always ask him if he will. My doctor was really good about that.

Relax! Chances are your baby will be moving and you'll get a glance.. Besides it's only one week! If it makes you feel better I'm in my 22nd week (about 5months) and dont get to find out until I'm 6 months! (blame my insurance) Lol so cheer up! :)

I had my gender determining ultrasound at 18 weeks 2 days and it was as obvious as could be. Hopefully they will let you have the ultrasound then. Most places are buttheads and won't do gender determination until 20 weeks.

If you are scheduled for an ultrasound, they should be able to tell you if the baby cooperates. If it's just a prenatal appointment, they wouldn't be able to tell.
