If I have a password on my router, does it mean that it is secure?

I have a password on my router, but my computer never asks for it. Does this mean it is not secure? can my neighbors access my computer?

Yes. If you disconnect your wireless connection and then rejoin it should ask you for a password. If you need one to log on then it's secure.

If you want to make sure get a friend with a lap top to come over to see if they could connect.

There are two passwords in a WiFi router. One is the administrator password for the router and the other is an encryption code for wireless access. If you only changed the administrator password then while they won't be able to reconfigure your router, anyone can get onto your network.
