The GREAT COMMISSION....is it "out of commission?"?
Paul tells us that we have the ministry of reconciliation. Why do folks think that the GREAT COMMISSION given to Peter is still in effect today?
I beg to differ, and so does your Bible. The Great Commission IS out of commission and God has given we who are the church which is His body a NEW Commission. We "have the ministry of reconciliation" ...to tell the world, "be ye reconciled to God."
The Great Commission was a different gospel. IE: the Gospel of the KINGDOM on earth which was to the Nation Israel alone.
OUR gospel has to do with a heavenly hope and a heavenly calling.

No doubt, my Pastor calls what we are to follow as the "Greater Commission".
I really wish Christians would read their Bible more....

No, it is not out of commission today. Why do you think that Christians are under such scruinty today? We are being tortured, picked on, monitored, bills written by scared politicians, and called politically incorrect by a vast number of SCARED people who know better but who have placed their futures in the arms of similar people who rather live a lust-filled, sinful life.
