I agree with Kevin, that those who are voting for Obama probably are. A perfect example of this blindness is the way Oprah was so quick to jump for Obama. I mean, this woman has been a major champion for the cause of women in this country, and yet she rushes to support Obama, over another woman? If that's not racist preference then please tell me what is. This is a great moment for America no doubt, and certainly for the African-American community, but when they get swept away under the current of sentiments, then they are equally as bad as the White population of our country.

NO it does not mean that half of the Dems's are racist. A large majority of those 18 mil are from the woman. They voted for there opportunity. I believe that there should be no focus on the racist cause they can't stop Obama. But he does need the Hillary woman supporters who want the Democratic win. If she endorses and they are true too her than they will.

No...not in general. I'm sure there are some racists who will never vote for a person of even mixed race just as there are some sexists who won't ever vote for a woman. there are probably even some ageists who won't vote for a person in his what, late 70s? I think it's silly to generalize that "everyone" who does something must fit in a particular box. People do things for all sort of reasons. Some have good reasons, others, not so much.

I think people who does not vote for Obama can be due to a lot of reasons, racism can be one of them. Also consider, issues they take sides on and loyalty to Clinton is another factor. Factor in those supporters of McCain.
Only those card-bearing Democrats that insist on voting for McCain if Clinton is not nominated for whatever reason and not just his politics, are racists.

Some people are and some people are not. It's not going to matter in the end since they will have voted. I have heard black ppl say they won't vote for him b/c he is black (or half-white) and I have heard white ppl say they won't b/c he is black.
