Taurus & Gemini...?

Dated a Gemini briefly. The "briefly" is important.

It wasn't a lack of love and respect that didn't make it work. I appreciated his liveliness and kindness and openmindedness a lot as well as his 'free spirit' - he appreciated my grounded, nurturing, practical attitude a lot. I don't think per definition that the differences in character between Gemini and Taurus are a problem... in fact they can inspire a lot of love and respect.

The problem is in the personal weaknesses that come with the signs. When we went seperate ways, there were no harsh feelings whatsoever, because it just was the way it was;

He had a job for which he had to travel a lot and was wealthier than me - I am a Taurus and very serious about my studies as well as my independence. I wouldn't abandon my education to go look him up, and I wasn't even comfortable with him paying for the flights over to where he was. We needed eachother to be equals, and we weren't. He needed an equal who could financially and geographically keep up with him... I needed someone I felt like an equal to, and being a Taurus, his professional success and wealth made me feel like less than an equal. I wanted him to come home, he wanted me to come visit him on his costs, and I wasn't comfortable with that.

We seperated as friends. I will always love him and want to take care of him, but for now, it's just not in the stars :-)

Did we fight? Sure we did. If I saw him trying to appear like something he wasn't so that people would like him... I would tell him and he wouldn't appreciate it but I wouldn't let it go because I'm stubborn. When I was being self centered and puttig my pride above our relationship, he would tell me I was being selfish and having the wrong priorities... but in the end these things didn't change. He'd call me snobby (I have higher education than him but he was more intelligent than me), I'd call him a slave to the world's expectations, we'd fight, but we'd appreciate eachother's different visions. Both Taurus and Gemini CAN be very sensitive.

Taurus and Gemini CAN go well together, if their lifestyles are complemantary and compatible. Until then, they challenge and respect eachother.

Cancer and Taurus is one of the best matches you can get, I'm a cancer and I've always gotten along with Tauruses. Of course you have to put into perspective the rising signs, moon signs, etc. But if you're just considering the sun signs here then yes. Cancer is an all around better match for a Taurus. I love astrology!
