Many people THINK they know what these terms mean when in fact, they haven't a clue. I've examined the definitions contained in the glossary you will find on the site I'm sending you to because they are ALL accurate. All of the other answers that have been submitted thus far contain at least one error.

I trust this site, and once you see it, I believe you will too.

Chops and licks are the same things which can be fills or little lead parts in a solo or during the verse/song. riffs are just little rhythms that are usually single notes or power chords, most rock songs are based around a riff, take "sleep now in the fire" by rage against the machines for example. hooks are usually at the beginning of a song and are used to introduce the song or draw the listeners attention.
