Why can only some people see my contact preferences on Yahoo!Answers?
I have set my Yahoo!Answers preferences to allow email to be sent to me through my profile, but not everyone can see/use it to contact me. Do others have to enable their email preference, or what?

4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)4 years agoWhen should a person be able to choose his/her own gender identity?
A transgender girl in Ohio recently committed suicide. Her parents had opposed and denied her gender identity. Should there be a legal age or some other means in cases such as this to determine when the wishes of the child supersede the wishes of the parent?
8 AnswersLaw & Ethics6 years agoRubber seal or weatherstripping on Odyssey tailgate window?
At the top of the rear (tailgate) window on my 2003 Honda Odyssey, two narrow strips of rubber - apparently seals or weatherstripping - are drooping down from beneath the tailgate frame onto the outside of glass. If I push them back under there, they soon dangle again.
They are about a foot long and rectangular in cross-section, maybe a quarter of an inch wide and the same height. Anybody know what they are, what their function is, and whether I can just pull them all the way out and throw them away?
1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoMy laptop stops responding to keyboard input?
For no apparent reason - and without any other symptoms or indications - my HP laptop (Pentium dual-core, Windows Vista) will not respond to any keyboard input until I shut it down and restart it. Then it's fine until the next time (which is after it has been idle for a brief period). Any ideas or suggestions?

I don't need the Cyrillic; a transliteration to Roman alphabet is fine.
4 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoAnyone have a formula for cost-benefit analysis of buying a windmill for power generation?
I live in an area where a power company uses wind generators successfully. I'd be looking at about a 1.8 kw generator in an area where electricity is expensive. Initial cost is $13K. Would I be better off waiting a couple of years for newer, better, cheaper wind generators?
2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoIn 1973, rebounding statistics changed. What was the deal - a rules change? A scoring change? Or what?
The number of rebounds credited to players was reduced for some reason starting in 1973. Was there a change in the definition of a rebound? Or did some other new rule affect things - such as tighter goaltending rules or a wider lane?

Now that regular gas is $3 there is still a 10-cent difference between grades. What's the deal? Is there just a dime's worth of difference in making the less-volatile higher grades?
