Speculation at all levels - right down to the service station owners who fear that if they sell their gas at the present rate according to crude prices they won't have enough money to refill their tanks if the price spikes on their next order.

  • Oh man... we are being made fools out of!

I've been following the prices as well, and it doesn't make sense at all!

You aren't alone... its insane!!! We are in big trouble! WE have to protest by either pressuring our congressmen and women, not driving, something. I can't afford to drive to work anymore.

    I need a bike.

    It's price gouging/speculation.

Once the summer is over, prices will drop.

The world market pricce of gas, has little to do with how much we pay. The fact is we pay only about 25 to 30 per barrel.

The same company that buys it for 25 to 30, sells it to itself for market value before it enters the US market.

Economics 101- With a scarce resource in high demand that people depend on to live their lives, when companies controlling the product see an opportunity to blast you in the a ss, they are going to do it. Welcome to the real world.

No, you aren't alone. It's one of the last legacies of the Bush Administration, presented by oil baron, bad aim, Cheney, et al.

I am thinking this is GOOD for America because it is punishing the liberal middle and working classes who have turned on and bashed our President Bush. I am GLAD speculative oil and gas futures investors are making BIG money on the libs, let them EAT CAKE.
