What's a good cheese for diabetics?
Some cheeses still have a lot of milk sugar in them and that can make you fat and addicted, if you have blood sugar probs.

She's trying to keep you low fat as well. A diabetic can eat anything they want to but since they have to limit the carbs anyways, you might as well choose healthy which is what the dietician is trying to suggest with the cheese. The healthiest cheese for you is Swiss Cheese as it has the lowest sodium. You're probably only on oral meds or just diet and exercise so you should eat smaller more frequent meals and lower glycemic index foods. The daily recommended amount of carbohydrate is 300 grams on a 2,000 calorie diet so target that. You may be able to avoid insulin and or medication if you stick to a diet and exercise but don't be afraid of using insulin to keep your glucose controlled, a little bit of Lantus does wonders. If you want to go back to Cheddar then do so, it won't make a difference to diabetes but it will be more fat and calories. Try the Swiss cheese, you might find it good for some applications, I made very good lasagna with it.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

All cheeses are good for diabetics.
Cheese is full of fat, which keeps you full if you're a type two trying to lose weight, and it has no carbs, which also makes it better for a type 2.
And everyone knows that carbs (or glucose) is what gets stored as fat, rather than fat itself.
And as for type 1's, it just doesn't have any carbs, which means that once eaten, it doesn't need any insulin, and it won't raise your blood sugar if you are negligent of your insulin-taking requirements.

There is no problem with type 1's eating cheese. Most cheese has less than 3 grams of carbs per serving so we usually don't even do insulin for it.
