It's hard to tell if your overweight without knowing your height. For a person like myself who is 5' 7", 140 pounds would be a fantastic weight.
As far as always being hungry, I think many people, including myself just eat out of boredom. Try to find more activities that keep you busy and don't leave so much time to think about food.
Good Luck and stay healthy!

don't worry about weight, you're probably going throuh a growth spurt (this could explain why you're so hungry) and it'll all even out. Just try to eat healthy stuff when you're hungry: put some strawberries into a hard, sealable plastic container and slip in your bag with a plastic spoon for later, or drink lots of water to satisfy your hunger (trust me, it sounds odd but if you drink a glass of water or 2, half an hour later you won't be hungry.)
You could also try not making eating a routine- eat when you feel REALLY hungry, and eat a small amount, e.g have 6 or 7 small meals a day (for example, 2 peices of ham and some celery or a biscuit and a coffee would count as 1 meal). See how you go with this and if you slip up, keep trying!
If this persists, maybe see a doctor but I think you'll be fine in a year or 2 after your initial growth spurt. Good luck and feel free to email nicole.gullan@hotmail.com this goes for anybody reading this who has a problem! :)

Drink a big glass of water and wait a while to see if you're still hungry. If you are, eat something that keeps you fuller for longer. Stuff like cereal bars are good ad there's a whole range of great Special K stuff if you're in the uk.
140 might be overweight depending on your height and the distrubution of your weight. If you're not happy about how you look.weigh just keep eating but remember to do enough excercise as well. Eating is good, excercise is better.

Hey, firstly, being 'overweight' is generally accepted as having a BMI (Body Mass Index) of over 25, which is linked to both your weight and your height, as well as your gender.
The problem with eating is that certain foods, such as sugars, will not fill you up, as the body takes no time at all to digest them (it makes most foods into glucose, which sugar nearly is anyway).
To fill up, try eating more carbohydrates and fibres, such as bread, pasta, potatoes and the suchlike. They'll keep energy levels high for a long time, and take a good few hours to digest, so should keep you full.
If that doesn't help, I'd advise seeing your doctor, sometimes constant hunger can be a symptom of a bowel problem, so well worth catching early.

hahaha--are you about to start your "monthly happiness"? That's usually what it means--it happens to my mum all the time.
If you're worried because you're constantly craving food, just keep a lot of healthy snacks on hand! Try:
Nature Valley bars
Applesauce (if you don't like applesauce (I don't), try
heating it up
mixing it with chocolate pudding
freezing it
mixing it with peanut butter
spreading it on an English Muffin & toasting it
Jello or Jello Pudding
Gerber's Graduates (who says it's just for toddlers?)
Strawberry Yogurt Bursts
Banana Finger Foods
Fruit Bites
Fiber One bars
Oatmeal
Yoplait Whips Yogurt (I love Whips--it's spongy!)
Carrots + Kraft Fat Free French Dressing
Apples / grapes / peaches / bananas
PB & J whole wheat tortilla
...the hint is eating something with a lot of grain (ignore those carb-free diets--seriously, they're bad for you). The more whole wheat and granola and stuff, the more full you'll be! Try Quaker's Simple Harvest oatmeal, Fiber One's Apple Streusel bars, Nature Valley's Almond Crunch bars, and Misión's whole wheat tortillas.
Good luck, and I bet this will end in a few days once your "monthly joy" comes. (:

The truth is that your not hungry, your just bored, have stress or are avoiding something (procrastinating) and if your a male 140 is just above average, for a female that is above average by about 25 lbs.
Hope this helped.

Well, depends. If u look skiiny, then its ur body trying to keep up. I need ur height to tell if ur ok.
I would start eating 6 SMALL meals a day, no snacking, and sloooooly shrink ur stomach to not want to eat all the time.
Good luck!

I'm always hungry also. The weight really depends on how tall you are. Without the length, it's hard to tell.

I was the same way. Don't worry. Try chewing gum and move around a lot to keep yourself busy. I would usually eat when i was bored. Good luck!
