Iraq Forces - How many 'fully capable' units have been trained and how soon before they replace our military?

I would like to know how much work has been done so far, and if the phase out, which should occur as a result of troop and police replacements, is gaining any momentum, and therefore, how long it will be before enough are replaced that we've completed our withdrawal?

Or does our military want to stick around because of concerns with Iran, etc. which could be impeding the process?

Update:

NAZGUL - what could improve that process? And at what point do we not say, they'll have to do the best they can to protect themselves, we can't be there every day to do it for them? Is it not at least partially true to say, they'll be their military will be at least as well trained then compared to when they had Saddam, and could the same not be said for their government? All we had to do was erradicate the influence of Saddam Hussein's military along with that of his Bath Party right? Then convert them to a new, democratically influenced military minus the previous sinister leadership. Why is it any more complicated than that, why should it take a decade for this conversion to take place, unless we we meant to stick around longer?? All I'm saying... We could transfer the balance of power back to their own country and let them fend for themselves at this point, if we couldn't do it by now, then maybe we need to accept we either didn't try hard enough or we stunk at it.

Update 2:

sorry for the typos there just now... I didn't proofread it until now but I still think I make a good point.

Besides, sick of hearing about it. And sick of hearing about how much we're spending on it, I wish we could accomplish getting them set up enough to fend for themselves and get out of there already. We have enough else we could and should be concentrating our efforts on.

What is impeding the process is the Iraqis attitude about somethings, some of my friends who have trained them say they can't shoot for s h i t or do more than one thing at a time, when doing a check list the have to do it by the numbers one step at a time, real slow.

@dded: We are training what shows up and willing to try, the process needs to have a better system to weed out the lesser qualified and bring in the cream of the crop so to speak. My friends train them to shoot, and in aeronautics. I will be boots on the ground if I pass some tests this week by July 4th to help in the training, and rebuilding of Iraq. This way I'll have better (first hand info) idea on what needs to be done.

Right now, its not so much, the number of operationaly trained Iraqi's.

It is thier support system thats not good enough yet.

IE: thier logestics cannot support thier military yet.
