Is this a good pen name?

Is "William Abaris" a good pen name? I'm gonna use it mainly for writting essays on socio political theory and the obtaining of Nietzsche's Ubermensche, and I have the same name as a musician and Canadian politician.

Honestly, the last name irks me. Even though it is unique, it doesn't "click" with William. Either choose a different last name or name to make it fit.

It needs to be a name that can roll off the tongue, fairly easy to spell, and have that special something to pop. How about a name that isn't too common and common last name. Or vise versa.

I find that an uncommon last name is more memorable.

    For example:

    Einstein

    Shakespeare

    Dickens

    Poe

(just by their last names alone, you know who I'm talking about.)

    hope I helped!!

heavily, I basically %. up a e book if it appears that evidently suitable. i will no longer even understand the author's call till some years later while i'm staring blankly on the conceal, attempting to submit to in suggestions what the e book replaced into approximately. i think there are people who pay greater interest than me(LOL) so i honestly locate L.G Smith a sturdy call. For all they understand, "L" can stand for Lucy or Lucas. :) If it have been me finding up a pen call(which I might desire to do quickly sufficient), i might look at something unisex and catchy. i've got heard of a pen call like "Levon Lovelock" (L-eh-von). nevertheless to at present time, I have no theory if this author is a individual. :P sturdy success.

I don't get a vibe from it. And I can see that there would be a couple ways to pronounce Abaris. Long A - Short A. Pax-C

I personally don't like it. I don't know anything about pennames, but William Abaris doesn't really have that ring to it, and if you say it to someone outloud, it isn't that easy to spell without having seen it before.

it's only a good name if you write Fantasy/Sci Fi

William is fine, but choose a more serious last name, considering what you're going after. Maybe "Atherton" -- William Atherton. Sounds good too me.

That's a good name. If I have a pen name, it would be Victiore Benine.
