Most things like a light or fan, no.

But with to days 'instant on' TVs, yes they are using electricity to stay in the 'instant' mode.

    Yes.

Most all electronics use energy when turned off. Even your cell phone charger uses energy when it's left plugged in & the phone is not hooked up to it.

Most all electronics in the U.S. have their power "converted" from 120VAC down to a much lower voltage & converted to D/C the left over power is "useless" (used up on nothing, gone to waste). Hate to say it but your P.C. is 1 of the worst offenders.

Yes it does.............you can plug your TV,DVD player,VCR etc. into one of those things (I forget what they are called) they have a red switch and you can plug in more than one plug, if that makes sense.

Then just before you go to bed just turn off the switch.

    I hope I helped!

    Good Luck!

Yes it still uses electricity. I am not sure as to how much but it does use some. We have gotten in the habit of unplugging lots of things to conserve money.
